Kolkata: The 29th conference of Bengal Provincial Bank Employees Association (BPBEA) will be held in Kolkata at Mahajati Sadan from February 15-17.
According to a spokesman of BPBEA the open session will be addressed by Amarjeet Kaur, General Secretary of AITUC, C.H.Venkatachalam, General Secretary of AIBEA, S.Nagarajan, General Secretary of AIBOA and other leaders.
He added that BPBEA was established on February 16, 1947.
On the inaugural day a procession will start from BBD Bag and terminate at the venue covering several places.
The conference will put stress on the demand of increasing rate of interest on the deposits by the depositors, to stop out sourcing, to appoint sufficient staffs, to stop amalgamation of nationalised banks and others.
The spokesman added that due to the present scenario in the banking and financial sector across the country the conference carries a lot of importance.
