Kolkata: On October 27 following the directives of Central Vigilance Commission integrity pledge ceremony under Vigilance Awareness Week, 2020, was held at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata. This year the theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week is “SATARK BHARAT, SAMRIDDH BHARAT (VIGILANT INDIA, PROSPEROUS INDIA)”. Vinit Kumar, Chairman, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata administered integrity pledge to all employees present and on digital platform. Kumar, Chairman, SMP, Kolkata led an example by taking e-pledge as an individual as well as organization e-pledge. In this inaugural ceremony Chairman, SMP, Kolkata stressed on looking inward onto internal processes and activities in Port during this year. A.K. Mehera, Dy. Chairman, SMP, Kolkata spoke on role on transparency and integrity for good governance. Dr. Preeti Mahto, Chief Vigilance Officer, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata read the message of CVC. This was followed by a webinar on “Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat”.
In this occasion, Vinit Kumar, Chairman, SMP, Kolkata unveiled “Pensioners’ Handbook” and “Transparency Charter” for dissemination of employees/customer oriented information and avenues for grievance redressal.
