As per Indian meteorological department there is a great chance of heavy rains on November 30 and December 1 in coastal areas of Tamilnadu. Though Gaja cyclone has created havoc over the past one week and had given rainfall over the last week at many places of delta areas. The Indian meteorological department has given the announcement of heavy rains for Tamilnadu. In Siam of Thailand there’s an upward rotation and this is expected to enter into Andaman and expected that this will reach coastal areas of Tamilnadu. Gaja is expected to hit the coast near Nagapattinam in southern Tamil Nadu. “Gaja”, which means elephant in Sanskrit, is expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds in coastal area of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Navy has been put on high alert . Fishermen in this area have been asked not to go out for fishing into the sea. 6,000 relief centres have been set up across Tamil Nadu.
