ISKCON Mayapur serving lockdown people

Kolkata: Nearly from last one month a team of more than 50 devotees of ISKCON, Mayapur are toiling hard to prepare food and then distribute it to needy villagers and people who are homeless, daily wage earners who have lost their livelihood due to lockdown. Each day 7 vans go out from the ISKCON headquarters carrying cooked Prasad and they visit remote villages in entire of Nadia district and even Krishnagar town. In coordination with the district administration devotees are delivering Prasadam at doorstep of the people. Senior monk, GBC of ISKCON HH Jayapataka Swami feels that in this hour of crisis its the duty of the devotees of ISKCON to facilitate the Dhamvasis, very dear to Lord Sri Chaitanya MahaPrabhu, by providing them Prasadam.
Currently more than 10000 people are fed each day with high quality Prasad cooked in hygenic enviornment under ISKCON Food for Life initiative. It is noteworthy here that ISKCON has distributed more than 2.4 crore plates of Prasadam in India which has been earlier appreciated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
