Kolkata, 16 January : Ending all speculations and as expected , BJP West Bengal state President Dilip Ghosh was today reelected to his post for a second three year term.
As there was no other contender for the post,the election of Ghosh was unanimous,announced Union minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Kren Rijiju,who arrived here today to oversee the election as the Central Party Observer.
Earlier,BJP All India General Secretary Yogendra Yadav held separate meetings with each of the 15 state Committee members on the election of State Party Present following the expiry of his term and sought their views.He submitted a report to Union Home minister Amit Shah last week.
Accordingly,Ghosh submitted his nomination for his re election to the union minister,who after the prescribed time announced Ghosh’s unanimous election to the top party post in West Bengal in presence of hundreds of party workers at a South Kolkata auditorium.
Reiterating his commitment to follow the party discipline,work for the party and for the people of the state as well as before for the next three years till 2023,Ghosh thanked his party workers and supporters and expressed his determination to root out the Trinamool Congress government under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee from the state after the Assembly elections, slated for next year.
