Cyclone Gaja took 13 lives

 

Indroneel Sinha ঃঃ- Cyclone Gaja which occurred on 16th Nov took 13 lives and a trial of destruction in several districts. As per the authourity it crossed the coastal between Nagapattinam and Vedaranyam district between 12.30 Am and 2.30 AM with the speed of around 120 KMPH. Due to the powerful storm the roof sheets of Nagapattinam railway station was damaged. Thatched and tiles roof were also damaged, traffic is also effected due to this storm as trees has fallen in different routs and due to the storm 1200 power poles has fallen in different districts and 102 power station are also effected in these area.
As per Chief Minister K.Palaniswami 10 lakh would be paid to each family who has lost there family members,1 lakh for who are suffering from major injuries and 25000 to minor injuries.
Due to Gaja attack air line is also effected. Due to this attack of Gaja school and colleges were closed and exam were cancelled.
As per India Meteorological department has forecast scattered heavy to very heavy rain over Tiruchirapalli, Namakkal, Dindigul, Madurai, Theni, Karur, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Nilgiris and Virudhunagar districts of Tamil Nadu.
