NASA has shared a picture of India’s ambitious Chandrayaan-2, Vikram Lander, claiming to have found debris on the moon. Vikram Lander’s Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) attempt to make a soft landing on the south pole of the moon on September 7 failed and the lander lost contact with ISRO a few minutes before the landing.

NASA has taken a photo from its ‘Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter’ (LRO) showing the spacecraft – affected site and the location where the debris may have been. Parts of the lander are scattered for several kilometers at about two dozen locations.
